ADVANCED MEDICAL IMAGING APPLICATIONS

It is a fallacy that medical thermal imaging or breast imaging needs to be completed in a controlled environment, the application exceeds their expertise. I imaged a young man trying to hide his health challenge from his parents. The inflammation at the top of the abdomen turned out to be acute pancreatitis and it took minutes to see.

We have included several images for viewing related to a diagnosed condition or complaint by a patient. The images are a very brief presentation with a tremendous amount of information still available for the health care practitioner.

VIEWING INSTRUCTIONS

The picture you see first is what our visible spectrum sees. Hold your mouse pointer over the picture and the infrared image will appear. The reporting process includes a scale to the right of each image, the scale isn't available for this brief look at thermography. Hotter temperatures are represented by brighter colors, darker colors represent colder temperatures.

STROKE

The vertical line in the thermal image represents the median plane, separating the body into halves where you can expect relative uniformity between sides as a guideline. The arrow will highlight the area causing the stroke. The visual you see was available in minutes with non invasive technology and responsible medical application training.

This case is an example of the savings of potential lives and dollars. The 26 yr old woman was having severe headaches, couldn't move her neck so was admitted into hospital for 8 days of rehab on her neck. She was released without finding the problem and told it could be soft tissue. A few more visits to doctors, a hospital visit where fluid was removed from the base of her spine and thought the pressure on the optic nerve (blind) was intracranial hypertension.

Headaches continued without relief and T3s weren't dealing with the pain. MRI showed 2 blockages which the arrow in the image highlights. Purchasing equipment will not give you these capabilities, medical applications are specific. eg.Sars Screening was ineffective only because the application exceeded their expertise. ACUTE PANCREATITIS

We were asked to image a young man's shoulder because of a recent surgery and immediately began to ask about his abdominal area. The young man maintained there was nothing wrong until he confessed to his mother he had been hospitalized with a stomach problem the year before. He went to the doctor and was told he had Acute Pancreatitis.

Every pixel of information can be investigated and there is an abundance of information that is still available. The doctor could have this image on screen while the patient is in the room as well as store the image for further investigation.



CHROHNS

The next image is of a young man with Chrohns. He has had surgeries and the ongoing abdominal problems is why he has the tattoo "Disturbed" across his belly.

With injury or infection there is an inflammatory response. The next image isolates that inflammation in the abdomen and there is still a lot more information available to medical professionals that can't be displayed in this format.

The Pancreatitis and the Chrohn's images are together on the page so you can see the different areas of inflammatory response in the abdomen. The arrow is highlighting the same area in the images.



SPINAL CORD INJURY AND PRESSURE SORE IMAGE

The next picture shows the back of a young woman with a spinal cord injury. With our visible spectrum there isn't a lot that can be seen regarding her physiology. The white arrow on the bottom right of the page is highlighting a pump used for woundcare on pressure sores. The young woman has just had a pressure sore heal and followed by another. The pressure sore she has is the width of your thumb and goes in 3 inches then turns for another inch.

Having a spinal cord injury means she can't feel below the break so she doesn't have the ability to feel if her body is injured. Put your mouse over the picture and see how she is doing. Medical professionals need to see physiology and changes with treatment.



The arrow on the thermal image shows where the break took place in her spine and also shows a large area of inflammatory response around the pressure sore.

PRESSURE SORE IMAGE

The next picture gives a better view of the pressure sore area. The arrow on the right is highlighting the pump for woundcare, the arrow on the left shows the place where the old pressure sore was.



The thermal image shows the old pressure sore isn't completely healed. The thermal image also confirmed why she felt cold from the break down.

In order to help her with the cold feet, legs and back we employed the use of Biaxial Magnetic Rotation and imaged the process to see if there were physiological changes with the magnetic application. Dr. Michael Weintraub was reporting an average of 75% more nerve conduction with Nikken Magsteps for diabetic neuropathy with a corresponding reduction in numbness, burning and tingling. With the spinal cord injury, we imaged warmer feet and more heat conduction up the spine as well as changing the pressure sore area.

CARPAL TUNNEL

Carpal Tunnel can be seen and treatment verified. Treatment can be imaged to show physiological changes with treatment.

In an insurance claim, medical professionals can have the image available in a view finder while they question the patient. There are more images to be placed here in December, 2007.

COLD HANDS

This young woman always complained of cold hands, here is what it looks like except there is much more information available for medical professionals to see.



REFLEX SYMPATHETIC DYSTROPHY ( RSD )

RSD is becoming a common search over the internet. Reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome is a severe, chronically painful condition usually involving one arm or leg. These images are of a woman in California with RSD. Do the hands look relatively the same? Our imaging library includes RSD imaging with before and after treatment

WRIST INJURY

The image below is of a patient with a complaint of her right wrist being injured and her insurance company questioning her claim. It took less than 2 minutes to have this visual of inflammation available so informed decisions can be made. In this case to help an injured worker and in others to avoid costs of insurance fraud.

RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory disease that causes pain, stiffness, warmth, redness and swelling at the joints. Commonly affected joints include the hands, wrists, feet, ankles, elbows, shoulders, hips, knees and neck.

Hotter temperature are brighter colors and these hands are expected to be functioning the same.

BURNING FEET IMAGE

Do you have burning feet? Here is an example of what that looks like. Brighter colors are warmer and the feet are not symmetrical. The medical professionals can discuss these feet at the time of imaging.

COLD TOES IMAGE

This person owning these feet complained of cold toes. Darker colors are colder and the imaging validated the toes were cold.



SORE ANKLE

Responsible thermography produced this much information in 2 minutes. The injured ankle is brighter in color.

You can see there is a marked difference between feet. It is important for doctors to be able to see injury or infection.
